Software Developer/IT Support

Job Description:

The IT Support position will be responsible for the overall operation of the company’s IT hardware and software infrastructure and will be a skilled and experienced person who can maintain legacy systems in Windows. This position will also be involved in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating IT projects and policies, ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices. To be successful in this role, candidates will need to have a strong background in software development, with experience in network administration, system maintenance, database administration, software programing, troubleshooting, and user support. Candidates will also need to have excellent communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks.

Terms of Employment:

-          Full-time

-          Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1600 office hours

Salary:

-          $70,000 to $80,000 per year with opportunities for advancement

Location:

J.O. Thomas & Associates, Vancouver, BC.

Education:

-          Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (required)
