JO Thomas provides Dockside Monitoring support to all B.C commercial herring fisheries for real-time quota management. This support enables these intensive, fast-paced fisheries to be conducted responsibly according to regulatory and management objectives.

JO Thomas designs and implements programs to verify catch and collect biological data and samples from BC wild salmon fisheries at points of landing to support quota and fishery management, transboundary treaty obligations, and primary research.
